If you will be away on polling day, at work, on holiday, physically unable or just don't have the time to get to a polling station to vote in person, you can still exercise your democratic right to vote. You may have moved house since the electoral register was drawn up and have not yet joined the register at your new address.
You can choose either to vote by post or to appoint someone else (a proxy) to vote on your behalf. Don't lose your vote just because you are unable to get to the polling station.
To find out more please visit the Government's official site.
For overseas voters - visit the Conservative website which will inform you of everything you need to know about maintaining your right to vote here in the UK. If you are a UK Citizen who has been living abroad for less than 15 years than you can still vote in UK Elections. You will find the appropriate forms which you can either complete online or download.
